unforeseen, unforsaken is a free weekly newsletter for the unexpected, the uninvited, and that which you cannot let go of.
I am on vacation for the next five days.
This is foreign to me, and has felt that way since 2020. A luxury I cannot afford — not financially, but emotionally. I’m sure you can understand. After years of traveling and reveling in the freedom and independence of that, I am now struggling to release. I am awash with waves of paranoia and dread over the kitten I left home, and my work that isn’t finished.
However, rest and release delivers clarity. That is my prayer.
Life is a spinning being, time seeming to move ever faster as we go. Regardless of how it moves us, greets us, caresses us, we can always choose to hop on the wave and enjoy the ride.
I am seeking calmness, and experiencing an incredible urge for space and silence. I am herding myself in an attempt to quell the anger I see bleeding into my daily routine.
I am meditating again.
I am repeating: you are the only thing standing in your way.
I am sending this to you.
May time move around you gently this week.
May you draw courage, and embark on whatever has been dripping through your fingers, whatever you have wished would go right ahead and soak into your bones instead.
I’ll see you in two weeks
